The Monument

One of our local libraries was holding a Art and Poetry Exhibit, they asked for local poets to submit pieces then let local artists choose among them to make an art piece inspired by the poem. I submitted two poems and both were chosen by different artists, one of them, done by Laurie Taylor, was selected by the peoples choice as their favorite representation. Here is both the painting and the poem.

A black granite wall,
58165 names,
Honor comes too late.

Good-bye my son,
You now are part,
Of the new Wailing Wall.

 

January Book Events: See You There!

At all my appearances I will have copies of SIGRIT along with THE WOODEN MISTRESS and ONE COLD NIGHT AND OTHER STORIES will be available. Your friend and relatives might like to own an author signed copy.

January 14, I will have a presentation and signing at the Wellton Library starting at 2 PM.

January 16 The Newcomers Club of Yuma is doing me the honor by allowing me to be the guest speaker at their  monthly meeting. That takes place at the Yuma Country Club around noon.
